How to Get Free Children’s Kindle Books

A look at some of the free children’s books for the Kindle ebook reader.

  1. Step 1

    There are many places that you can get free kindle ebooks, and it is worth browsing from time to time to see the new releases and new digitized books that have come out for your ebook reader. Most of these are the classics that you can get for cheap in print. However, here are five sections of children’s favorites that are easy to link up and get, all downloadable to your kindle and for free (at least at the time of this writing)

    The Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams
    Published in 1922, this is the tale of a toy rabbit searching to become real. The toy believes that through love and bonding with his owner he can be a real rabbit and not just a toy it is a fan favorite and winner of many awards.

  3. Step 3

    Fairy Tales Every Child Should Know
    This eight book collection has old classic favorites to read to your child. These classic fairy tales include Tom Thumb, Puss in Boots, Cinderella, Blue Beard, Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Bears, Hansel and Gretel, and the Magic Mirror.

  4. Step 4

    Free Beatrix Potter Books
    There are eight classics currently on the kindle books site waiting to be downloaded for free. These are the Tale of Peter Rabbit, Tale of Flopsy Bunnies, Tale of Mrs Tiggy-Winkle, Tale of Jemima Puddle-duck, Tale of Pie and Patty Pan, Tale of Ginger and Pickles, Tale of Timmy Tiptoes, and Tale of Johnny Town-mouse.

  5. Step 5

    The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling
    A 1967 film from an 1894 book, the Jungle Book is beyond a classic. These stories give moral lessons through the use of animals. Besides the actual Jungle book story, the most famous of these tales was “Riki Tiki Tavvi” the story of a mongoose who turns out to be a hero.

  6. Step 6

    Children’s Hour with Red Riding Hood and Others
    Put out in 1922, this collection has Little Red Riding Hood, the Goose Girl, Babes in the Wood, Sleeping Beauty, Snowdrop and the Seven Dwarfs (Snow drop was used instead of Snow White).

  7. Step 7

    The above five sections are just a starting off point. Browse the listing, start by kindle books, then sort the listing by “low to high” in price and you will see pages of free kindle ebooks for the choosing. Keep checking back because the list is never static, it changes all the time. These collections will be good to give you a founding basics for your kindle, and it will delight younger children with ease.
