How to Put Together a Babysitting Kit

If you want to score big with the children you babysit, take along a craft and game tote. Rotate your kit so that it has something different in it each time you go to babysit.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • games
  • craft paper
  • glue
  • scissors
  • crayons
  • markers
  • paint
  • glitter
  • pipe cleaners
  • books
  • stickers
  1. Step 1

    Purchase a large canvas bag and some iron-ons. Decorate your tote and put your name on your bag with some iron-on letters. Make it look colorful and inviting to children!

  2. Step 2

    Purchase some colored paper, tissue paper, scissors, art box, crayons, glue, markers, glitter, stickers, pipe cleaners, paint, coloring books, and an art or craft book, etc...

  3. Step 3

    Put a couple of picture books in your tote from your bookshelf. You can also go to the library and borrow a couple of books and rotate them every week or so.

  4. Step 4

    Purchase a deck of cards, old maid, and/or golffish in your tote. You can also put a larger game in your tote and then rotate it too. Some library's have games to loan out.

  5. Step 5

    Keep a baggy of treats in your bag for good behavior!

  • Make sure you know if any of the children you watch are allergic to anything.
