Save Money on Giftbags

You're running late to a party and you still need to wrap the gift- you have no wrapping paper so you decide to go with a giftbag. Sometimes you end up spending more on the giftbag than the cost of the gift itself! How to save money wrapping your gift.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Gift to wrap
  1. Step 1

I have been frugal, but it saves me money. Everytime I get a giftbag, whether it's for Christmas, Birthday, or special occasion I keep them. Then I reuse them. I even save the tissue paper that the gift came in because you will scrunch up the paper anyways so no one will know that it is used. For friends and family who will throw the wrap and giftbags away, I ask to take them off of their hands to build up my supply.

  2. Step 2

Take advantage of after holiday sales. It's great saving 75%-80% on Christmas giftbags at Target or other stores after the holidays are over. I stock up on that and giftwrap-I think I have enough to cover me for the next 5 years!

  3. Step 3

If you don't have any of a particular bag you need for an occasion, hit the dollar store. They have wedding, baby shower, religious occasions, and all other sorts of bags- beats that $5 you'll spend at a department store anyday!
