We all know that the key to a great hot dog is the sauce. Just follow these easy directions for American's favorite hot dog. Makes a quick and easy meal.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1lb ground beef lean
  • small onion
  • 2 tbls prepared yellow mustard
  • 2 tbls vinegar
  • 2 tbls sugar
  • 1 tbls water
  • 1 tbls worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp tabasco sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  1. Step 1

Brown ground beef. Break into small pieces as beef cooks. Once brown remove from heat and drain off fat leaving enough to cook onion. Which will be added in the next step. At this point you can place beef in blender and grate into medium fine pieces.

  2. Step 2

Return beef to sauce pan and add medium chopped onion. Cook until onion is tender. Add the remaining ingredients. You may need more ketchup, add enough to keep mixture loose. Water may also be added.

  3. Step 3

Simmer on medium heat in an uncovered saucepan for 35 to 45 minutes or until all ingredients blend. You can also add more water if needed. Remember if you get too much water just simmer longer. Serve with bun and quality beef hot dog.
