How to Make Vegetarian, Gluten-free, Yeast-free, Wheat-free Pizza Crust

If you or someone in your family has a food allergy to wheat, yeast, or gluten, cooking might seem like a new challenge. You might think there is nothing you can eat! Or you may be mourning the loss of your favorite foods, like pizza. But now you can enjoy this delicious food once again. This recipe is wheat-free, yeast-free, and gluten-free.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    PIZZA CRUST.

    1/2 c. Garbanzo flour
    1/2 c. tapioca flour
    2 tsp. maple syrup
    1 tsp. Xanthan gum
    1/2 tsp. sea salt
    1/4 Tbl. agar-agar granules
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. onion powder
    1/2 tsp. crushed rosemary
    1/2 tsp. Italian herbs
    1 egg
    1/2 c. almond milk
    1 Tbl. olive oil

    Preheat oven to 400F.
    In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and mix throughly.
    Spread the batter into a large greased pan.

    Bake for 15 minutes and remove from the oven.

  2. Step 2

    SAUCE.

    4 Tbs. olive oil
    1 white onion, grated
    1 tsp. oregano
    1/4 c. fresh basil, minced
    garlic to taste, pressed
    1/3 c. cold water
    2 cups chopped tomatoes

    Saute onions, herbs, and basil in saucepan.
    Puree tomatoes and stir into saucepan with the other ingredients and stir for 3-4 minutes.
    Add all other ingredients and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.

    Remove from heat and allow sauce to thicken and cool.

  3. Step 3

    MAKE PIZZA.

    Add sauce to the top of the pizza crust.
    Add other pizza toppings as desired.
    Bake until the edge of the crust is browned.

    Remove, cool, and serve!
