In a few easy steps you can set up a Windows Live account. This account has many useful features, including email (Hotmail), messenger, XBOX Live and free online storage. The online storage is called Skydrive and offers 25GB of free online storage. There is also a calender and a blog.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Start off by going to:

    http://login.live.com/

    click on "sign up for an account" located on the center of the page

  2. Step 2

    Select "No, sign me up for a free MSN Hotmail e-mail address" to get a @hotmail.com or @live.com email address and log on to Live.com.

    You can also select "Yes, use my e-mail address". This option will allow you to use an email address that you already have to log onto Live.com and use their services.

  3. Step 3

    Fill in the necessary information and choose a new hotmail address and password.

  4. Step 4

    After completing the above steps log into your new account. There you will see all of the services and software available to you.
