Things You'll Need:
- Yardstick
- Roll of 1 inch yellow adhesive tape
- A sharp pencil
- 5-6 different paint colors
-
Step 1
Paint all the walls a different color. Choose paint colors that are vibrant and of different hues.
-
Step 2
Let dry over night and tape the edges for squares. Measure from the top of the wall the distance of the squares from the ceiling. Mark using yardstick and place a small pencil dot every 6-8 inches. Connect the dots with a solid tape strip of tape. If you want 8 inch squares measure down from the bottom of the tape edges and mark with similar pencil dots. Connect with another solid tape line. Determine how many squares will fit taking in mind even spacing and distance from the other square on adjacent wall. Mark the sides of squares with tape. Paint the squares with the colors of adjacent walls and additional colors as desired. Remove tape soon after painting squares and wipe any seepage with a rag. You can also touch up when the squares have dried.
-
Step 3
Add accent pieces and fun colorful decorations. Pictures of family trips to the beach are also nice.
-
Step 4
Finish with bright towels and beach fabric accents. Enjoy the feeling of the beach everyday!
