Tips & Warnings
  • Don't take a chance with food poisoning. If you are uneasy, throw it out. Tofu can be purchased for less than $2 a pound. A trip to the hospital is a lot more than that.
  • When storing leftover Tofu, make sure it is completely covered in fresh water in an air tight container. Change the water DAILY.
  • Tofu can be frozen for up to five months, freeze your leftovers or unopened package if you won't be using it soon enough.
  • Pay attention to expiration dates on unopened packages of Tofu.
