Things You'll Need:
- square origami paper (the bigger the paper, the bigger the flower)
- pencil
-
Step 1
Start off with the colored side of the origami paper, fold the tip from one end to the other. Then, unfold.
-
Step 2
Turn the paper around so the white side of the origami paper facing you. Fold all four tips to the center of the paper. Then, unfold. You should see creases on the paper.
-
Step 3
Fold the paper in half, forming a rectangle. Then, unfold. Fold it the other way, this time do not unfold.
-
Step 4
Grab the paper by the sides and fold it towards the middle, it should look like the picture on the right when you flatten it.
-
Step 5
Turn the diagram around so that the open ends are towards you and the closed end is away from you. You should have two flaps on each side. Take the flap on the right side, and use your finger to part it, and bring it to the middle.
-
Step 6
Press it down. Repeat steps 5 and 6 with the other three sides. (you should see four sides with white triangles)
-
Step 7
When you are done with all four sides, fold the sides toward the middle line. Then, unfold.
-
Step 8
Use your finger and grab the flap in the middle, pulling it upwards gently. Flatten it. It should be the shape of a kite.
-
Step 9
Fold the kite flap down. Repeat steps 7 to 9 with the other three sides. Make sure to always start off with the white triangles.
-
Step 10
When you are done with all four sides, flip the diagram around, so that the open ends are away from you and the closed end is towards you. Fold the sides to the middle. Repeat with the other three sides.
-
Step 11
When you are done with all four sides, grab the top and fold it downwards. Repeat this with the other three sides.
-
Step 12
When you are done with all four sides, hold the lily, and bring the petals upwards.
-
Step 13
Using your pencil, gently curl the petals. Shape your petals to a beautiful lily. Enjoy!
