Things You'll Need:
- Your faith
- Your love
-
Step 1
Follow the words of your faith. Sure the Bible has very strong words speaking against homosexuality but remember that Christianity is a religion that follows the teachings of Christ. The last message Christ gives to us as He ascends to heaven is LOVE. Love each other, love your neighbor, love your brothers and sisters, love your enemies- love them as He loved you! Although some religious sects and churches will tell you differently, you should remember that God does not want you to hate homosexuals.

Step 2
Love. In this article, we are speaking of your loved ones. These are your children, parents, friends, co-workers, uncles, etc. These are the people in your life that you've loved and enjoyed. Now that you know someone you love is gay, you should never release that love. Anger, hate, and destruction will not change who they are and are not values Christian people should adopt.
-
Step 3
Be a role model. Most religious people want to raise their children with their morals and values for example but being a role model for others in your life is also important. Being a role model simply means that when others looks to you, you are doing things that are ethical, morale, and just (and when people are NOT looking at you). When you react negatively to a gay friend and turn them away, you are doing just the opposite. You don't have to go to the gay pride parade if that makes you uncomfortable but continue to show your love to the people who are important in your life.
