How to Make an Easy Cheese Log Appetizer

For your next party or game night, serve a cheese log appetizer that is as simple as it is tasty. It requires just three simple ingredients and a bit of stirring. Set out the savory cheese dish along with whole wheat crackers, a sliced baguette or celery sticks. Then prepare to take requests for the recipe.

Things You'll Need

• 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
• 3/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
• 1 package dry ranch dressing mix
• Mixing bowl
• Spoon
• Plastic wrap

Instructions

1. Combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese and ranch dressing mix in a large mixing bowl. Use a spoon to stir the ingredients until they are smooth and well-mixed.

2. Spoon the mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap. With your hands, shape it into a log form. Cover the cheese log completely with plastic wrap and chill it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to one hour. Leave it in the refrigerator overnight for even more flavor.

3. Pull the cheese log out of the refrigerator just before serving.
