Hello!
If you are getting started to begin collecting Elvis Presley Memorabilia...congratulations!
We have been collecting "anything/everything" relating to Elvis Aron Presley for over 40 years now. This guide has been reviewed, and implemented successfully, around the World.
Enjoy.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Time, Money, Patience, Place to store your items so that they are fully protected.
  1. Step 1

Understand that you have many options concerning the life, and legacy, of Elvis Presley. There are 33 Elvis movies/documentary (DVD and VHS), CD's (33's, 45's, 78's vinyl records and 8 track tapes and cassette tapes), photographs, personal possessions of Elvis, dolls/action figures, autographs, concert souvenirs, magazines/books/etc.
So STEP 1 will be for you put these categories in PRIORITY.

  2. Step 2

Now that you have your "categories" in Priority Order then start with your first Priority category and list ten items you would want (i.e. description) and the MAXIMUM AMOUNT you would be willing to pay for it now (note: if you can't pay for it now then create a section entitled "wish list" that you can distribute to relatives for birthdays/Holidays/etc. (if applicable).

  3. Step 3

Do a budget listing (a) the total amount of money I have right now for my collection is $_________ (b) the total amount of money I will have over the next 30 days for my collection is $ ___________. The MIMIMUM amount of money I will have after 30 days from now, set aside each month, will be $ __________.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do your HOMEWORK on your items. Do an Internet Search and specify your item. Go to EBay and type in the description and then sort by "lowest price + shipping". If you are buying records, or photographs, please ask "is this original"? "Is there any damage"?. The more questions that you have ... the more questions you need to ask ... and get answered. If you find an item, and it is above your current budget, contact the person and make them a "buy it now offer" as it won't "hurt". Also ask IF they will have another similar item in the near future. Also, DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT.
  • If you buy from EBay you have PROTECTIONS IF the Seller offers a "return policy" so make sure that you understand ALL of the "terms and conditions" contained in EBay Listings. If you purchase a record then when you receive it make sure that you play it ASAP. If it is damaged, or doesn't play, etc. then photograph the damage and contact the Seller (in writing). Follow the return instructions to the letter.
