  • internet
  1. Step 1

    Warm up
Before you get started on the actual work out routine, get your body and mind prepared for it. Doing warm up exercises help increase circulation and blood flow to the different muscles of the body.

  2. Step 2

    Stretch
Stretching is a very easy way to loosen stiff or tight muscles and get them ready for the physical activity they're about to undergo. This can also help relax the muscles, giving them more elasticity than what they would be able to do if they're tight, thus allowing for more range of motion.

  3. Step 3

    Cool down
After every exercise session, you need to cool-down to get your heart rate to gradually go back to it's normal state. By doing so, you avoid muscle locking because of blood pooling or poor blood flow caused by an abrupt cessation of physical activity.

  4. Step 4

    Eat up
Of course this tip is under the provision that you eat healthily. After exercising, it is best to stock up on carbohydrates, protein, and fat that will supply the body with enough energy it needs to still be able to use the worked out muscles for the remainder of the day.

  5. Step 5

    Rest up
Whether you're a long-time exercise buff or a beginner, never forget to set aside at least one day in the week for muscle recovery. However, this doesn't mean completely cutting off physical activities for the entire day. Rather, you might want to have a fun day out with your friends and family – have a picnic, play Frisbee at the park, or go swimming in a lake – anything fun and relaxing to do.

Tips & Warnings
  • Although it's true that the more you exercise, the more your body gets used to the strain you subject it too. But no matter how much you try to get your muscles attuned to working out, sooner or later, it will fall to injuries if you don't learn to care for it properly. Working out can be a great way to shed those excess pounds and get into shape. However, it is important to keep in mind that if you don't keep track of how much exercise you're doing in a day or in a week, you might end up with muscle aches and pains, or worse yet, muscle and joint injuries.
