Step 1
Create a grocery budget and plan your meals for the next few weeks. This limits impulse grocery shopping especially while you're wandering the aisles of the grocery store. Making a grocery budget also helps when scouring for grocery coupons as a frugal coupon mom.
-
Step 2
Watch the local newspaper and grocery ads for non-Internet coupons on food items and other grocery products. Some groceries can be found at low, cheap prices even without online coupons.
-
Step 3
Search the Internet for frugal coupons on groceries. Type the name of the grocery product you are looking for into the search engine, then add the word "coupon" to the end.
-
Step 4
Visit coupon and grocery deal websites that are favorites among frugal coupon moms. Some of the largest frugal coupon forums include Red Flag Deals, Slickdeals and Fatwallet. All three websites post grocery deals and free Internet coupons and online savings that can help save you money while shopping for groceries.
-
Step 5
Act like a true frugal coupon mom and use coupons anytime you can in the grocery store. However, don't make the hunt for online coupons encourage you to spend money. A smart frugal coupon mom knows to limit her spending to her grocery budget (refer back to Step 1) and not let a surplus of grocery coupons make her leave her frugal ways.

on 3/3/2009 I save a lot of money by clipping and searching for coupons. I wouldn't buy groceries any other way now.
