Step 1
Find a purse that holds a lot. You don't need a gigantic purse that holds mt. everest, just something that will hold all your belongings you need. So go to the mall and find a purse that is deep and you like. I don't recommend the itty bitty ones because your stuff will fall out or you wont be able to keep much in there. I also discourage you from getting a backpack sized tote. This can look quite silly and can keep you from keeping your things organized.

Step 2
After you have your purse, you'll need to fill it. The next time you're at the store grab a pack of gum and/or mints. Mints are great to have when you eat foods that give you bad breath. Listerine also makes a breath spray, and Victoria's Secret sells mints for purses in their beauty section.
Get a pencil bag and fill it with pens and pencils and sticky notes. Put it in your purse so you always have something to write with during class. Make sure you keep your pencils sharpened or have spare lead for mechanical pencils. Also, if you use a calculator (most do) then keep it in your purse to keep it from falling in the hallway or forgetting it to class. -
Step 3
Pack a tube of deodorant. It can be really handy for hot days or gym class.
Body Mist/spray is great to have for this purpose also.
Pack lunch money if you buy your lunch. You can't get lunch without money! Also it's good to keep some emergency extra money in your purse for situations such as forgetting fines, or forgetting to ask mom or dad for lunch money. You may choose to stash this in an envelope in your locker instead in case you forget your purse. -
Step 4
If you wear makeup, get a makeup bag and fill it with essentials for touch ups. Keep your makeup in a bag and sealed tightly to avoid leakage.
A brush, pins and hair bands are also good to have in case you're having a not so good hair day. -
Step 5
Add any feminine products you may need and extra.
Car keys if you drive or need a house key. -
Step 6
Many teenagers have cell phones. Almost everyone keeps them in their purse. Remember to turn your phone off or on silent during class to avoid it from ringing and getting confescated and also turn off all alarms.
Texting during class is also not a good idea because it will lead to bad grades and detention. If your phone is going to be a distraction it's best to not bring it to class.
If you have an MP3 player such as an ipod or zune, they are always good to have. Some schools even allow you to listen to them during gym or typing class. Also pack your digital camera in a case if you have one.
Keep snacks in your purse. You can keep yogurt covered raisins, granola bars, fruit & grain, fruit snacks etc. DO NOT leave open bags of snacks in your purse because you'll get crumbs at the bottom if you do. Some schools also deal with rodent/bug problems so you don't want anything getting in your purse. Sealed snacks are perfect for lunch, sport practices etc.
