These steps are not in any particular order of importance, they are all very necessary in being committed to lifetime wellness. If you can focus on these 10 aspects of wellness, you will be on your way to a healthier life.

Muscular Strength - Strength is very important to being healthy. This doesn't mean that you have to be a body builder in order to live well, it just means that having stronger muscles will help you. Just a simple 20-30 minute weight lifting session a few times a week will greatly improve your muscular strength.

Cardiovascular Health - Having a healthy heart is obviously very important to lifetime wellness. The more cardiovascular exercise you can get, the less your chance of heart problems will be. Again, a short 20-30 minute cardiovascular work out (walking, jogging, biking, rollerblading, hiking, etc) will help to improve the health of your heart. This is especially important if you have a history of heart problems in your family.

Step 4
Nutrition - Eating healthy will be one of the most important steps in this process. Eating the right foods will have you maintain a healthy weight, have more energy during the day, and improve your health in general.

Step 5
Flexibility - Being flexible can greatly improve problems with joints, back problems, and sore muscle problems. Flexibility of your muscles is just as important as having strength in your muscles.

Balance - When I say balance, I do not mean how well you can stand on a balance beam. I mean you need to have balance in your life. You need to balance work, school, family, leisure, and anything else you do in your life. Doing this will reduce the amount of stress in your life.

Rest - Getting the right amount of sleep is very important to being healthy. Adequate sleep will help you in being more focused during the day, having more energy, and just feeling better overall. Lack of sleep can cause a lot of problems, and can make you more prone to getting sick.

Change - You need change in your life. Too many people get into every day routines and become "bored" with life as they know it. Try to change things that you know you do every day. Take a different route to work, change your look every once in a while, go to a different coffee shop, just change something to make your life a little more exciting.

Mindfulness - Keep an open mind throughout your day. Be open to meeting new people and hearing new ideas. This will also help you reduce your stress levels. Make sure you listen during the day as much as you talk.

Good Friends - Having and maintaining good relationships is very important to being healthy, because you will be happy in doing so. Having people there for you when you need really helps.

Laughter/Joy - Laughing during the day will definitely reduce your stress levels and help you feel more energetic. Joy in your life is definitely necessary for achieving lifetime wellness.
