How to Make Quick Crab Cakes

Crab cakes don't have to be expensive or take a lot of time. You can reach into your pantry and pull out a few simple ingredients and whip up some tasty crab cakes in just a few moments.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Can of crab meat
  • 1 zucchini
  • bread crumbs (seasoned)
  • 1 egg
  • flour
  • canola oil
  1. Step 1

    Open can of crab (pink crab meat is the least expensive, but you can use more expensive lump crab meat as well). Drain. Put meat into large bowl.

  2. Step 2

    Crack egg and add egg to bowl.

  3. Step 3

    Add about a cup of bread crumbs.

  4. Step 4

    Add a tablespoon of flour

  5. Step 5

    Dice the zucchini into tiny-sized cubes.

  6. Step 6

    Mix all the ingredients together well by clumping mixture through your fingers. Mixture should stick together.
    If too dry, add another egg.
    If too wet, add more flour until it sticks together.

  7. Step 7

    Heat a small amount of oil in a pan. Make patties out of mixture and place into hot oil. Brown lightly on each side.

    Serve plain or with a quick relish mixture of diced pickles and mayo.
