This is a simple article about how to not look like a "noob" in a chat room or forum.
I will also include information on urban computer lingo.

Step 1

Okay, so you have been banned or kicked out of chats and are feeling like a computer illiterate noobie.No worries I will help you with that.^^

1. First of all everyone starts out as a noob or (new person) at some time you are not the first.

2. So what the heck is.."kthxbi"? Internet slang can sometimes be confusing as it is always developing, however with a little time and
experience you can learn all of the basics...such as..
LOL=laugh out loud
AFK= away from keyboard
BRB= be right back
WB= welcome Back
TY= Thank You
However if you want to get in the more illiterate Internet slang as such as kthxbi= Literally means, "Okay, thanks, bye" Usually said to be a bit more sarcastic and rude when trying to make a point. Used to end a conversation/point quickly. Then websites such as ...

Step 2

How to Start....

Okay so you enter a chat room such as "xat"
first thing you need to make or get your own picture and not use a default one that was provided from the chat room.You can use one normally that is located on photo bucket.On xat for example you click on your name and past the direct link that you can right click and copy from your picture of choice on photobucket to the spot that says picture URL here.If you do not use your own picture chance are more than half the time you will be kicked out or banned from chat rooms they will see the default and give you the boot.
Also it id highly recommended NOT to use your "rl" real-life picture but to use another picture of something else a animal or cartoon character whatever else you wish.

Next your name, ah what's in a name.....everything.
Being on chat rooms and forums even groups you must keep in mind your own security, NEVER give out personal information to someone you don't know. Typically people use Alia's they don't even need to be a real name it can be something such as..
Lord~of~Chaos
or
Skittez~Cupcake~Vampire
but that is not always enough the best thing to do is to use a program like this one at...

that will change the font of your name for you.
Often the longer the name seems to be better.
Step 3

Alright now you have your picture and new name..... ._." now what ?
When you enter a chat do NOT ask to be a moderator , Owner or any kind of promotion, that will come with time after people get to know you.
When you enter it's best not to start asking for a/s/l or age sex location a lot of people are not willing to give out their information especially to someone they never met before.
When you enter a chat it's best not to start off asking questions this become extremely bothersome. When entering it's best to just say ...
hey or something more personalized to you such as..

RP= role play
Well rpers or roe players tend to be a accepting and yet tight nit group. It depends their mood and how into there own story that is playing out on the screen they are in.Basically online chat room role players are writing a story of misc. improve together. If you decide to venture out into this realm be for warned that if you try and pick a role play fight do not dodge or write that the person dies, this is both a little stupid and rude, and will get you kicked out also.

Okay so now you have entered the chat and have your own picture , alias name and have entered the room.Good Job ^^. So now the most important thing is to be yourself...or if you wish you can now enter the world of being someone else.The most important thing is to have patience and enjoy yourself after all that's why you are there.
