Since there are no OFFICIAL rules for Bunco, I am going to try to inform you of the basic rules, and allow your imagination and group to change whatever feels best and works best for your group.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Dice
  • Score Sheets
  • Pencils/Pens
  • Bell
  • Tally Pads
  • 12 People who like to have fun!
  1. Step 1

    1. The person sitting directly across from you is your temporary partner. The head table rings the bell to start the play. All tables start to play bunco at the same time. The first player at each table roles all three dice. and earns a point for each one rolled. Play continues with that player until she no longer rolls a one.

  2. Step 2

    2. When the first player no longer roles a one, the dice are passed to the next player to try her luck at ones. If any player rolls 3 ones, she will shout "bunco", and receive the fuzzy die, and also receive 21 points on her bunko score card. Five points are also earned by rolling a "funko" which is 3-of-a-kind, of any other number.

  3. Step 3

    3. When 1 of the teams at the head table reaches 21, the bell is rang, play stops, and everyone moves places. If you are on the losing team, the person sitting across from you will move with you to the next table, but will not be your partner for the next roll. If you are the winning team, you or your partner will move over 1 seat, making room for your each of your new partners moving over from another table.

  4. Step 4

    4. After everyone moves, the head table will ring the bell again and the bunco play will resume; this time rolling for two's. Play continues this way through 4 sets of one through six.

Tips & Warnings
  • The grand prize goes to the player who rolled the most buncos. The second prize goes to the player with the most wins, and the third prize goes to the player with the most losses.
