Have you ever accidentally spilled hair dye on a wooden counter top or cabinet? Now you can remove any stains from dry hair dye with this easy solution made with 2 household kitchen items.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Pour one part baking soda into a plastic cup or bowl

  2. Step 2

Add two parts vinegar to the container
There should be about twice as much vinegar as baking soda
The mixture should fizz and bubble up
This is the same reaction that occurs in a model volcano

  3. Step 3

Mix until a paste-like consistency has been obtained
Add additional baking soda or vinegar if mixture is too thin or thick

  4. Step 4

Hold all four ends of rag in one hand to create a rounded end for dipping into the mixture
Be sure to get a substantial amount but not too much or it will be too messy

  5. Step 5

Use rag to scrub the stained surface
Be patient as scrubbing may take several minutes
    Continue until dye is removed

  6. Step 6

    Clean up the area
Wipe surface off or vacuum up any particles
