Things You'll Need:
- Sony Universal Remote

Step 1
First you will turn on the device that you want to program into your Sony remote.

Step 2
At the same time you will push the mute button and off button on your Sony universal remote.

Step 3
On your Sony universal remote press the device you are trying to program. (VCR, DVD, SAT, CBL)

Step 4
Enter the code for the device you wish to program. (The link to Sony's website to obtain a list of codes is listed below under resources.) Then press enter.

Step 5
Press power on your Sony universal remote, Your device should turn off. There may be more then one code listed for your device, if so and the first one doesn't work continue with the next until your device responds.

Step 6
Your Sony universal remote should now be programmed.
