Frayed shoe laces can sometimes be the most annoying thing. It makes it virtually impossible to put your laces back into the tiny holes of your shoes. Learn how you can effectively fix your frayed shoe laces and be happy!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

In order to fix your frayed shoe laces, you will need some materials. You will need a lighter, heat shrink tube, and a pair of scissors. The size of the heat shrink tube will depend on how frayed your shoes laces are and the size they are at.

  2. Step 2

Next, slip the heat shrink tube over the frayed area of your shoe lace. Cover it about 3/4" and trim off the excess with your scissor.

  3. Step 3

Then, you will want to shrink the tubing. Grab your lighter and hold it carefully for a couple seconds over the shoe lace. Make sure that the flame is about an inch below the tubing. Make sure that you do not keep the fire flaming in one area; keep the fire moving.

  4. Step 4

Lastly, repeat on the other frayed shoe lace. Then, put the laces back on your shoes and you have fixed your frayed shoe laces!
