Car Interiors need to be Clean

When you have a new car or even new to you, there isn't anything more important than being comfortable. This means that you need to be able to drive it with ease and it isn't too dirty. Car interiors can fill up with trash and dirt quickly as you are going in and out of your vehicle. Here's how to keep the clutter, dirt and trash to a minimum by keeping your car interior clean.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • mats
  • Liners
  • Trash Bags (mini)
  1. Step 1

Consider buying some inexpensive floor liners for the front driver and passenger. These are made of rubber or plastic and can be just set in the vehicle really easily. This will allow any dirt or rubbish to be pulled out without much effort.

  2. Step 2

Consider putting in a pet barrier if you have an animal that you transport. Obviously if you have an animal, you are going to get some hair, no matter what, but if you confine the animal to a part of the car, your chances of a dirty interior are minimal. This makes cleaning the interior easier.

  3. Step 3

Consider putting in cargo liners that are plastic or rubber. Good for animals and stuff you more in your car, the interior will be minimally impacted and you won't have to worry about any grease finding its way to the carpet.

  4. Step 4

Consider a mini garbage bag that is in the center console for use. If you know where to put your trash, you won't be setting it on the floor. A little bag will allow you to empty it every time you stop for gas and your car interior will be clean.

  5. Step 5

If you have kids, consider installing a no food rule in the car. Drinks and food cause the majority of dirt and stains. With no food in the car, you can make sure the exposure to the carpet and seats are dirt and regular wear and tear.

Tips & Warnings
  • Get your car interior items at the local auto parts store or department store such as Walmart. Make sure you know your car make and model so you can find the right fitting pieces.
