Things You'll Need:
- Needle
- Thread
- Patch
- Iron

Step 1
Jeans BlueGather your materials. You will need to find a patch that is about an inch or two larger than the area that needs to be mended. You will also need a needle, thread, and iron if you chose an iron on patch.
-
Step 2
blue jeans denimMend the hole in the stretch jeans with a needle and thread. If it is a tear, simply pull the tear together and sew the torn area of the blue jeans back together. If it is a hole, sew a piece of stretchy fabric over the hole.

Step 3
Iron on PatchesAfter you mend the hole, you are ready to cover the mended area of the blue jeans with your favorite decorative patch. This method works very good. I use it all of the time. The first step reinforces the torn area and the second step is actually used to cover the first step(the mended area of jeans.) No one will ever know that your favorite pair of stretch blue jeans have been mended. This is especially true if you add matching or complementing patches to other areas of the jeans.
