Step 1
Navigate to the LAUNCHcast Internet Radio website. Mouse over the Radio tab and click Radio Station Guide. The guide will pop up in another window. Click the plus button to expand the list of stations for your favorite music genres. If you love the song that plays, rate it a 5. If you hate it, rate it a 1. You can also rate albums, artists, videos and genres. If you don't want to listen to a song, click the "Skip" button. LAUNCHcast Radio will allow 5 skips per hour. If you enjoy listening to the station, click "Add to Presets" which is on the lower right hand side of the screen.
-
Step 2
Click "Stations" in the Internet Radio player window. Under "Select a Genre/Format" select the music you would like to listen to. Or, just below that, select a city whose radio stations you would like to listen to. You can also click "Browse Recommendations" to see what Yahoo! LAUNCHcast radio recommends based on your listening history.
-
Step 3
Click the History button to view your listening history. Click the Presets button to view the radio stations you have added to your list. Click Settings to configure LAUNCHcast radio according to the type of connection you have. If you have a dial-up connection, select "Narrowband (Dial-up/Modem)." If you have a DSL or cable connection, select "Broadband (Cable, DSL or LAN)."
-
Step 4
Set the default volume for your Internet radio player window beneath the preferred connection speed. Click "Close" in the upper right hand corner of the window to see your selected radio station again.
-
Step 5
Continue rating music as you listen to your favorite Internet radio stations. At this time, LAUNCHcast Radio ratings are not directly associated with your Yahoo! Music profile. However, Yahoo! Music and CBS Radio will soon have this feature re-enabled. Be sure that you're logged in when you rate music so that your ratings will be saved. Hopefully, soon, Yahoo! Music will regain the versatility it had before these recent changes took place.
