By the eighteenth century, macaroni and cheese had become popular throughout Europe. When England began colonizing the America's, they brought the recipe along. It's now one of the most popular foods in the U.S.A.

Things You'll Need

  • 1 box macaroni mix (Kraft or Golden Grain)
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 3/4 cup milk or cream
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 oz Velveeta Cheese
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese
  • 1 tsp. cooking oil

Instructions

    • 1

      Bring water to boil. Add cooking oil, pinch of salt, and Macaroni.
      Cook until done, usually about 15 minutes.

      When the macaroni has finished cooking, turn heat down to low, and add butter.

      Blend well, then add the dry mix that comes with the Macaroni. Stir well, then add the milk, stirring constantly until well blended.

      Add Velveeta cheese and cream cheese. Stir until melted and bubbly. Remove from heat and serve!
