Things You'll Need:
- Computer with internet connection (or a nearby retail store)
-
Step 1
Giggle. Not only does Giggle offer organic baby toys (allergy free and/or toxin free) but also socially and/or environmentally conscious toys. While Giggle's offerings are more expensive than those of the other suggestions below, there is more variety. Some items may be sold out on the website but available at retail stores (California, New York, Connecticut). If you call a store, they may be able to ship an online out-of-stock item to you (or to someone else as a gift). Some favorites include the giraffe stacker, the bowling buddies set, and the soft jingle ball (all made of organic cotton). They also sell organic cotton teething toys. Please see "resource" section below for a link to the site.
-
Step 2
Buy Buy Baby. Over the past few years, Buy Buy Baby has increased its selection of organic baby toys through its natural organic line. They have more retail store locations than does Giggle and lower prices, but they do not offer the same selection. Some favorites include the safari animal plush toys and activity bricks and balls. See link in "resource" section below for more ideas.
-
Step 3
Babies R Us. Babies R Us has the smallest selection of organic baby toys and some overlap with Buy Buy Baby (but at higher prices). See link in "resource" section below for their full offering of organic baby toys.
-
Step 4
Our Green House. While I have never purchased organic baby toys from this site, they have different organic baby product offerings than the aforementioned sites, at a variety of price levels. Please see link in "resource" section below to browse their selection.
-
Step 5
Baby Gadgets and Gear. Again, while I have not purchased from this site, it offers similar products to Our Green House and an even wider variety of organic baby toys.
-
Step 6
Child Trek. Not only does Child Trek offer organic baby toys but also educational toys and donates a portion of its profits to charity.
-
Step 7
Baby Naturopathics. This site offers dye-free and green organic baby toys. It features organic baby products from Kathy Kruse, Keptin-Jr. and miYum in both Canadian and U.S. dollars.
