Palm-reading is a common practice, for fun and for profit. This tutorial will explain how to read anyone's palm.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A hand
  1. Step 1
    The four major palm lines.
    The four major palm lines.

Find out which is the dominant hand of the person whose hand you would like to read. That is the hand you will use.

Note: As shown in the picture, line 1 is the heart line, line 2 is the head line, line 3 is the life line, and line four is the fate line.

  2. Step 2

    Interpret the heart line:

The heart line can be read from left to right or from right to left. Determine which one of the following suites the heart line best:

-begins below the index finger - content with love life
-begins below the middle finger - selfish when it comes to love
-begins in the middle - falls in love easily.
-straight and short - less interest in romance
-touches life line - heart broken easily
-long and curvy - freely expresses emotions and feelings
-straight and parallel to the head line - good handle on emotions
-wavy - many relationships and lovers, absence of serious relationships
-circle on the line - depression
    -broken line - emotional trauma
-smaller lines crossing through heart line - emotional trauma

  3. Step 3

    Interpret the head line:
Determine which of the following suites the head line best:

-short line - prefers physical achievements over mental ones
    -curved, sloping line - creativity
-separated from life line - adventure, enthusiasm for life.
-wavy line - short attention span
-deep, long line - thinking is clear and focused
    -straight line - thinks realistically
-donut or cross in head line - emotional crisis
-broken head line - inconsistencies in thought
-multiple crosses through head line - momentous decisions

  4. Step 4

    Interpret the life line:
The life line is read from the thumb to the wrist.
Determine which of the following suites the palm the best:

-short line - prefers physical achievements over mental ones
    -curved, sloping line - creativity
-separated from life line - adventure, enthusiasm for life.
-wavy line - short attention span
-deep, long line - thinking is clear and focused
    -straight line - thinks realistically
-donut or cross in head line - emotional crisis
-broken head line - inconsistencies in thought
-multiple crosses through head line - momentous decisions

  5. Step 5

    Interpret the fate line:
Determine which of the following suites the palm best:

deep line - strongly controlled by fate
-breaks and changes of direction - prone to many changes in life from external forces
-starts joined to life line - self-made individual; develops aspirations early on
-joins with the life line somewhere in the middle - signifies a point at which one's interests must be surrendered to those of others
-starts at base of thumb and crosses life line - support offered by family and friends

Tips & Warnings
  • Let the person know that the reading can change and they may not be true. You don't want to upset anyone.
  • This is not scientifically proven to work.
  • Many preditions will be wrong.
  • Do not read an overly emotional person's palm. Should the person over react, someone may get hurt.
