If February 29 is only your birthday, you will have to choose when to celebrate your birthday. Leap Year comes around every 4 years. The other 3 non leap years can be a challenge of when and how to celebrate.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

*February 28* Some people choose to celebrate their Leap Year birthday on February 28. This is the actual month of their birth. February has the birthstone of amethyst. Amethyst is believed to have protection properties. This helps to disspell any beliefs that being born on Leap Year Day is unlucky.

  2. Step 2

*Invisible Birthday* Having an Invisible birthday party is a great theme idea for the Leapee. Those special people that don't even have their birthday on the calendar should celebrate the absence of that day. A magician for the younger ages are creative for this theme party.

  3. Step 3

*February 29* When leap Year rolls around every 4 years, celebrate the day you were born, and celebrate big. Many websites specialize in merchandise reflecting Leap Year, making Leap Year parties even more fun as a theme.

  4. Step 4

*March 1* Some Leapees celebrate on March 1, since that is when they are actually older. In reality, on your birth date, you are only a day older than the day before, not a year older.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be creative and celebrate, regardless of the day.
  • II-XXIX can be celebrated as a unique day, even if it isn't your birthday.
