Next time you're in the mood for grilled steak try this superb recipe. Delicious.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 and 1/2 pound of London broil or flank steak.
  • 1/4 cup red wine
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce.
  • 1/4 cup honey or brown sugar if you prefer.
  • Two cloves garlic. More if your a garlic lover
  • 1/4 cup olive oil.
  • 5 minute rice (for 4 servings)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mrs. Smith's spice. Or just get a pack of rice pilaf.
  1. Step 1

Mix all ingredients together, except streak .Place your steak in a zip lock bag and pour the marinade in. Let marinate in your refrigerater over night (but not more than 24 hours).

  2. Step 2

Cut beef across both sides about 1/8 inch deep in a diamond pattern. A few minutes before you're ready to grill, light your coal or gas BBQ and let it heat up a few minutes. When Grill is hot remove steak from marinade and reserve liquid. Place steak on BBQ and cover with aluminum foil. make sure your heat is medium and not too hot. A little flame licking the steak is alright ,but a flare up should be avoided. about 12 minutes for medium and 15 for well. For medium cook 6 minutes on each side. Brush with marinade several times while cooking. Discard any left over marinade.

  3. Step 3

cook rice and add Mrs smiths spice, put a pat of butter on top. While rice is cooking and the steak has rested about 5 minutes slice steak diagonally across grain and serve with rice. For a complete meal add a salad and garlic bread. Yum enjoy.

Tips & Warnings
  • Serve a robust red wine. Absolutely wonderful.
  • Remember to watch your flame, if steak flares remove from heat and lower heat a bit. If using Briquettes spray a mist from a spray bottle filled with water until coals cool off a bit return steak and finish cooking.
