Asparagus, if cooked properly, has a wonderful taste and makes a very healthy side dish to combine with any meal. This article will instruct you on how to make asparagus easy in the oven. This is not a fancy recipe by any stretch, but it tastes excellent.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Asparagus - 8 pieces per person being served
  • Butter
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  1. Step 1

First, to make asparagus, preheat your oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with foil. Spread the asparagus out on top of the foil.

  2. Step 2

Next, drizzle the pieces of asparagus with your favorite extra virgin olive oil. When used sparingly, olive oil can enhance not just the taste, but also the nutritional value of your asparagus.

  3. Step 3

Now, to make asparagus, microwave 1 tablespoon of butter per 8 pieces of asparagus you are cooking. Microwave the butter on high in a microwaveable cup for 20 seconds. When the butter has been fully melted, pour the butter over the asparagus.

  4. Step 4

Before putting your asparagus in the oven, sprinkle the asparagus with salt and pepper. Use a half part of pepper to each part of salt. For extra nutritional value, use garlic salt rather than standard salt.

  5. Step 5

Finally, to make asparagus, cook the healthy green vegetable at 350 degrees for 12 minutes. The asparagus will be ready to serve immediately after you pull it out of the oven, enjoy.
