How to Hang a Door Mirror
Do you wish you had a mirror somewhere long enough that you could check yourself out before leaving for work or wherever? A door mirror hung on the back of a bedroom or bathroom door will answer that need.
Door mirrors are relatively inexpensive to purchase, and they're already framed.
Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Mirror
- Velcro
- 1/4 Phillips head screws
- drill
- screwdriver bit (Phillips)
- Yardstick or tape measure
- level

Next, apply 4 pieces of Velcro to each corner of the mirror, about 2 inches square or so. It's not real important because they won't be seen
Apply the other side of the Velcro at the corners of the pre-measured place on the door. Place the pieces on the mirror and on the door in and down about 2 inches from the edge of the mirror. This is so they won't be seen. The main purpose for the Velcro is to hold the mirror in position until you can install the screws. -

With the door in place, put a level on top of the mirror and along one side to make sure it is level. If it is not, you can pull it loose and reposition.
Once it is level, put at least 3 1/4 inch screws along each side, and 2 at the top. Actually this would be 6 screws, unless you also want to place another screw in the center of the top and bottom of the mirror.
If the door is a hollow core door, you will first have to pre-drill the holes, and place anchors in the drilled holes, and this will insure the stability of the mirror.
Job done!!
