Hi everyone. I'm Andrea Eldridge from Nerds On Call and CallNerds.com through eHow.com. Today, I'm going to be showing you how to edit PDFs. So, we've all been there; you have a PDF form with all these blank, gray fields that need to be filled in, but Adobe reader won't let you add any text. For easy and quick edits, I like to use an online tool, PDFescape.com. This hand PDF editor lets you add text fields, insert notes, fill in forms, even create new text boxes, all with a couple of clicks. Open a web browser and go to PDFescape.com. Click on Use PDFescape Now Free. Next, click Start Using Unregistered. On the upload box, click Choose File and select a PDF from your computer, then click Upload. Once uploaded, you can add text, use whiteout, add images or links, create a form field or add lines, plus a few other options. When you're done, download and save or print your finished copy. The only drawback to PDFescape is privacy. You're basically uploading your document to someone else's server. So, if you're working on something more sensitive, use a product that's a bit more secure like PDF Xchange Viewer. You can download PDF Xchange from trackersoftware.com. With these free products, you're basically limited to writing on top of the existing PDF. But, what if you need to make changes to the actual PDF document itself? Nitro PDF Pro is a full-featured product that lets you do everything you can with the other two programs and make changes to the PDF document itself. All this great functionality does come with a price. Nitro PDF is $120. It's still cheaper than a comfortable Adobe product, which would set you back more like $400.
