Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Good research. Good choice of 'key words' while searching online.
  1. Step 1

Most telecommuting opportunities are found online as you might expect. Nevertheless, finding one can prove difficult to anyone, experienced or not. first: Find a field of interest or expertise to work with. there are a wide range of careers that are good for telecommuting. examples are, accounting, graphic design, virtual assistants, computer programming.(to name but a few).

  2. Step 2

A thorough research on your field of interest is mandatory. Talk to people that might have some knowledge about your particular field. visit government sponsored sites; be careful because most scam artists use similar web addresses as legitimate ones. examples are .gov, .com, .net, .org. point is use the right web address. your local employment center might offer good tips.

  3. Step 3

Make sure you have all the equipment you need. this can be general stuff, for example a computer, internet, phone, etc. Most of it you might have. However, different employers might require upgrades or software that are usually free.

  4. Step 4

An impressive resume is always good in any job search. Cite all the experience you have that would help you in getting the job done. Make sure your cover letter is brief and up to the point; most employers don't have time to read stories.

  5. Step 5

Try to avoid scam. a few ways to tell the difference is by: checking the potential employers language. for example, impossible promises (making millions for doing nothing), upfront fees, etc. contact information. physical address, phone, fax etc. If you can't reach them, is usually not a good sign.

  6. Step 6

interview day, appear, talk and dress professionally. May it be over the phone or whatever other means. Over the phone, a good command in language is helpful, a quiet room with no back ground noise is very important.
Ask questions always; one or two don't however, ask too many questions it makes you look unprepared for the job .
    Be enthusiastic, upbeat and positive.
Be on time don't create the wrong impression.

  7. Step 7

If hired be a team leader and innovative.
