How to Change the Combination on Impuls Luggage Loc

Luggage locks help you protect your belongings and enjoy a little peace of mind while you're traveling. But if the combination on a lock isn't easy to remember, it won't get used very often. If you have an Impuls luggage lock that you'd like to reset to a different combination, just follow these steps.

Things You'll Need

• Impulse luggage lock

Instructions

1. Set the dials on the lock to the current combination.

2. Pull up on the U-shaped shackle until the lock is open.

3. Turn the shackle 90 degrees in either direction.

4. Push the shackle down until it stops and hold it there.

5. Move the dials until your desired numerical combination is displayed. Make sure all of the dials are clicked into place.

6. Pull the shackle all the way up. The lock is now reset to the combination you chose in the previous step.

Tips & Warnings

• The Transportation Security Administration now prohibits the use of luggage locks in most situations where flying into, out of or within the United States is involved. If you use a luggage lock and a TSA agent wants to inspect your bag, he will typically cut it off.
