How to Copy a PC DVD Game
To copy a PC DVD game, it's generally a good idea to have a backup of the game in case the disk is somehow damaged in the process. Although DVDs are generally copy protected, to cut down on illegal pirated versions, it is still possible to get a program that will copy the DVD.

1
Insert the game DVD into the DVD drive and run AnyDVD (see Resources below). AnyDVD is a program the decrypts DVDs, allowing for the copy protection to be removed. It also has other features, including removing the region code. Once the program is running and the DVD is recognized by the computer, the program automatically decrypts it.

2
Open your DVD copying program. Some DVD burning programs, like Nero, can also clone, or copy, DVDs, while programs such as CloneDVD are made specifically for this (see Resources below).

3
Select "Copy DVD." The wording may also read as "Clone DVD"; both mean the same.
-
4
Select the PC DVD you wish to copy. In the space where the program asks you to add a file, click on the DVD drive in the directory. The program will then recognize the DVD. If using CloneDVD, choose your DVD drive where it reads "DVD video files," then click "Copy."
