How to Modify an Xbox Controller for Rapid Fire

Specifically with shooting games, some people find that their video game gun does not fire quick enough. There is a way to modify the Xbox controller so that it fires more animated bullets faster than it could before. It becomes much easier to spray an area and hit your intended target by using rapid fire. With a modified controller, the user becomes very tough to beat. It is not as hard as some may think to modify the controller. This guide will give step-by-step instructions that makes modifying an Xbox controller very simple.

Instructions

1. Understand first that modifying an Xbox controller does come with the potential for permanent damage to the device. Users should continue through the steps at their own risk.

2. Flip the Xbox controller over, and unscrew the backing.

3. Identify the white trigger column on the left side of the back of the controller.

4. Push the RT button to the right while pushing the shaft directly under it to the left. Do this gently but with enough force to pop it loose.

5. Push up on the RT buttons housing to identify the dome shaped notch that appears to have a plus sign on it.

6. Apply one of the circular ends of a 2-inch spring to the plus signed notch.

7. Apply the other circular end of the spring to the circular indention on the underside of the RT button.

8. Push the RT button down so that the spring becomes secure to both ends.

9. Pop the shaft back into place. First support the shaft so it does not move. To do this, slide the screw driver through the left side of the shaft. There should be a triangle opening for it to fit through.

10. Slide the shaft back into the slot you disconnected it from by pushing it back into place. You will hear a pop once it is secure.

11. Return the back cover to the controller and rescrew in the devices back.
