If you have forgotten the numbers for opening your luggage lock, it is possible to open the lock without breaking it. You do not need any special tools or equipment to unlock it, and the lock can be opened within a few minutes.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Prepare the lock. Hold the lock in your left hand so that the numbers are facing downward, and the locking mechanism is facing upward. You will be using your right hand to apply pressure to the top of the lock and adjust the numbers.

  2. Step 2

Reveal the first number of the lock. Apply pressure to the locking mechanism. Hold down the locking mechanism and start turning the first wheel on the luggage lock in a clockwise direction. Listen carefully until you hear the number "clicking" into place. This is the correct number.

  3. Step 3

Find out what the second number is. Apply pressure to the locking mechanism again. Hold down the locking mechanism and start turning the second wheel of numbers on the luggage lock in a clockwise direction. Listen carefully until you hear the wheel "clicking" into place; leave it there and move on to the final digit.

  4. Step 4

Reveal the third number of the lock. Apply pressure to the locking mechanism for the last time. Hold down the locking mechanism and start turning the third wheel of numbers on the luggage lock in a clockwise direction. Listen carefully until you hear the wheel "clicking" into place.

  5. Step 5

Open the lock. The lock will pop open easily after the third number is locked in place.
