- Allen wrench Vice with clamps Gloves Goggles Small grinder File Cloth

Step 1
Find an Allen wrench the appropriate size for the type of lock you are picking. The smaller the lock, the smaller the size of the Allen wrench you will need.

Electric grinderPut on gloves and protective goggles. Attach the Allen wrench tightly to the vice on the point farthest from the "L" shape of the wrench.

Step 3
Use the grinder to flatten the width of the "L" top of the Allen wrench just a couple of millimeters at a time, until it is small enough to fit the keyhole.

Step 4
Smooth off rough edges using the file.

Step 5
Wipe the new lock pick down with a damp cloth. Insert the file Allen wrench into the lock to see if it fits.
