      Talk to a Navy or Marine Corps recruiter to find out if you meet the requirements to become a helicopter pilot. To find the recruiter nearest you, check your local yellow pages. Set up an appointment to meet with the recruiter and discuss what you are looking for, your career goals, next steps and whether you want to become an active duty or reservist helicopter pilot.

      Review the career pages at the Navy and Marine Corps official websites. Read the job overviews and job descriptions for aviators, including pay scale. If you already have a bachelor's degree, use the contact form on the website to ask about attending the Officer Candidate School (OCS), which is required for officers in both branches. Be prepared to attend an additional six weeks of air indoctrination training at the Naval and Marine Corps aviation schools followed by primary flight training.
