How to Make a Brochure With Pictures
Brochures assist in promoting services or products. You can use this tool to show what your company has to offer with pictures, prices and information about the business. A brochure is also an excellent advertisement of events or parties. You can use it to invite individuals to a charity event or a public wedding. Your message can reach the masses in a useful collage of pictures and facts with this method.

Use a word processing or graphics program such as Microsoft Works, Microsoft Word, The Print Shop Essentials or Publish-it. Microsoft Works has several types of templates for brochure and flier making. Microsoft Works usually comes free with Windows XP and Vista.

Open Microsoft Works Task Launcher. This is in "All Programs" or your quick launch toolbar. Click on "Templates" on the top of the window. On the side of the screen, you have several choices. Press the "Newsletters & Flyers" tab. A list will generate on the right side. Select the "Brochure" button. You have four styles from which to choose. Click on each one and preview it in the right window. You can change all the wording and pictures. This is just a guide.

Use the mouse to double click on the brochure of your choice. A new window will become visible. Click on each option in the top toolbar. Familiarize yourself with the tools available to you for designing the brochure.

Click on each picture and change it. A box will appear around the first picture you want to alter. Press the "Insert" button at the top of the page. Select "Picture" and then you will have a choice of clip art, making your own image or using a picture on your hard drive. Press the "From File" option. Look around your hard drive for the replacement picture. When you finish, click "Insert."

Resize the picture. If the image you are using is too large for the brochure, use the square button on the top and corner of the picture. Hover your mouse over the box, the cursor will change to an up and down arrow. Hold your mouse button and move up for larger or down for smaller. Repeat the same for the corner button.

Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each image you want to change or add to your brochure.

Change the wording. All of the stock text on the brochure is changeable to your specifications. You can alter the font style, color and size. Add the information according to your facts. You can place wording under each picture by clicking directly under the image. Then start typing.

Print the brochure. After you redesign the brochure with pictures of your choosing, you must print the brochure. Click on the "File" tab and then "Print Preview." Select the "Print" tab in the toolbar if you are satisfied with the brochure. If not, click "File" and "Close Print Preview," then make changes.
