How to Download Songs to an iPod Shuffle Using Limewire
The iPod shuffle is one of the smallest products in the iPod line. If you want to download songs to an iPod Shuffle using Limewire, you will also need to install the iTunes application. This software will allow you to transfer downloaded songs from the Limewire library right onto your iPod.

Follow the link in Resources to download iTunes, the only software by Apple that allows you to add songs to your iPod Shuffle. You need to have this application on your computer before you can transfer Limewire songs into the Shuffle; the download is absolutely free.

Click "Download Now."

Follow the onscreen instructions to download and install iTunes on your computer.
Downloading Songs to the Shuffle Using Limewire

Open both the Limewire and iTunes applications on your computer.

In the Limewire library of the Limewire application, select the song(s) you want to download to your iPod. Click on the selected song(s) with the left mouse button and drag the selection into the iTunes library of the iTunes application. Then release the mouse button.

Connect your iPod Shuffle to your computer using the supplied USB cable.

At the left of the iTunes window, you will see name of your iPod Shuffle. Double-click it with the left mouse button.

Click the "Sync" button. This will synchronize your iTunes library with the iPod Shuffle library, updating it with new songs downloaded via Limewire.

Tips & Warnings
Instead of using the drag-and-drop technique in Step 3, you can open the "File" tab in iTunes and click on "Add Folder." Then browse to your Limiwire library and locate the "Shared" folder. This is where all of your downloaded songs are located. Click on the folder and then press Enter on your keyboard. This action will add the folder to your iTunes.
