Instructions

    • 1

Clean out a spot in the basement or a place in the garage to build and store your ramp from the cold and rain.

    • 2

Take one sheet of your 3/4" plywood and lie it down on a flat surface like a floor or table. Get your pencil and lightly sketch a line up the right side of the board about 2 feet up.

    • 3

Sketch a second line going out to the left and stopping at the center of the board.

    • 4

Draw a third line up across the bottom of the plywood sheet. This will be the bottom of the ramp. Connect the top line to the bottom line by drawing a curved line.

    • 5

Cut along the lines you've drawn with your saw. Repeat this process on another sheet of 3/4" plywood. These will be the sides of your ramp and the braces of the ramp will be in the middle of these two pieces when you install them.

    • 6

Get your 2 x 4 pieces and secure them to the side pieces. Start at the bottom and evenly space them out so that they will provide ample support for the ramp. Nail each 2 x 4 to the side using nails and a hammer.

    • 7

Nail a 3/8" piece of plywood to the front of the ramp, on top of the 2 x 4 supports. You will have to gently bend the board as you move up the ramp to help it follow the upward curve of the ramp.

    • 8

Sand the board and edges of the ramp with a piece of sandpaper. Keep sanding until all the surfaces are smooth and splinter free. Wipe away the dust with an old rag.
