How to Get High Speed Dial Up Internet
High-speed dial-up service offers another alternative to the two most common forms of Internet provider services---regular dial-up and broadband service. High-speed dial-up combines faster speed with a regular dial-up service to allow people to connect and surf the Web faster but avoids the high charge for broadband service. It is also an alternative when broadband is not available. The service works by compressing data files and then sending the compressed files to the end users. Find high-speed dial-up providers in your area and start surfing faster.

Tips & Warnings
Ask the provider if there are any discounts for changing services. Often a provider will offer a free month or more of service to entice a customer to change.
Although high-speed dial-up service speeds up both the connection to the Internet and surfing the Web, it does not increase the speed of all data, since some data cannot be compressed using these methods. Currently, streaming media and e-mail attachments are two forms of data that cannot be accelerated using a high-speed dial-up connection.
Remember that high-speed dial-up service connects through your phone line. To discontinue using your phone line for Internet connection, you must go to a broadband service.
