Instructions

  1. Creating Domino Beads

    • 1

Place a domino on a piece of flat scrap wood and hold it firmly between two fingers. Make sure you have a tight grip and that your domino is flat against the wood.

    • 2

Using your electric drill and micro drill bit, drill a small hole through the top of the domino for earrings and necklace pendants, and through the middle of the domino for bracelets.

    • 3

Widen a jump ring using the needlepoint pliers and put it through the hole you have drilled in the domino; you do not need jump rings for bracelets. Close the jump ring by squeezing it shut using the pliers.

    Creating Jewelry

    • 4

For earrings, slightly widen the jump ring with the needlenose pliers and put it through the ring at the bottom of the French ear wire. Close the jump ring with the pliers.

    • 5

For use as a pendant, simply slide a chain, ribbon or leather cord necklace though the jump ring and fasten the necklace closed.

    • 6

For bracelets, your domino beads should have a hole drilled though the middle with no jump ring. String the beads through the bracelet elastic string until you have the desired length.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can also create a charm bracelet by drilling a hole in the top of the domino and attaching it to a chain bracelet with a jump ring. Use larger jump rings and attach 2 or 3 dominoes together for very long earrings.

  • Micro drill bits are extremely sharp. Use caution when handling them.
