How to Make No-Sew Couch Pillows

Learn how to make no-sew couch pillows from pillowcases in just minutes. Why spend lots of money on decorative accent pillows when you can easily make your own. Choose colors and designs that already match your home décor and pick materials that you love. Pillowcases come in a variety of styles and materials, such as flannel, silk, satin and Egyptian cotton, and with a few of them you can make your own no-sew couch pillows.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 20 by 26 inch pillow cases in any color or design you like 1/2 inch Velcro with self adhesive backing Cotton filler Ruler Scissors Iron
  1. Step 1

    Iron the pillowcases then lay them flat on the floor, so the seams are all even.

  2. Step 2

    Cut 6 inches off the pillowcase from the opening side.

  3. Step 3

    Turn the pillowcase inside out, fold over and iron approximately 1 inch all the way around the opening.

  4. Step 4

    Cut the positive and the negative side of the Velcro into 10-inch strips.

  5. Step 5

    While still inside out, lay pillowcase flat again. Remove adhesive backing from Velcro and place along the folded edge of the pillowcase. Carefully press down and smooth the Velcro to ensure that it sticks properly.

  6. Step 6

    Turn the pillowcase right-side out and stuff with cotton filler until three-quarters of the way full. Close the Velcro and fluff pillow.
