How to Change an Oil Filter in a Saturn Vue

If oil is the blood of a vehicle, then the oil filter is the liver. To make sure that the oil in your Saturn Vue is clean, it is important to regularly replace the oil filter. This simple task can be done in a few easy steps by following these suggestions.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 15/16-inch socket Ratchet extension
  1. Step 1

    Lift and support the hood to locate the fuel filter. The oil filter is located to the left of the battery, recessed under the hood.

  2. Step 2

    Use a 15/16-inch socket (extended) to remove the socket cap. There is ample space for the extension.

  3. Step 3

    The cover and the filter will be attached. Discard the used filter and replace with the new filter.

  4. Step 4

    Replace the socket cap and tighten.

Tips & Warnings
  • It is always a good idea to change the oil when changing the filter.
