      Use a clamp to tightly hold together to two objects to be riveted. Take care to precisely line up the two objects so that they will be fastened correctly.

      Using a drill bit that is the same diameter as your rivets, bore a hole through both of the clamped objects.

      Load the rivet gun with a rivet by inserting the long end into the gun.

      Slide the wide end of the rivet into the drill hole.

      Press the trigger on the riveter repeatedly until you hear a popping sound. The pop indicates that the wide part of the rivet has mushroomed and the fastening is complete.

      Repeat the process at other drill holes if necessary. When all rivets have been inserted, remove the clamp.
