Things You'll Need:

• Pliers

1. Support the motorcycle on the center stand.

2. Rotate the retaining pins to get to the loop end of the retaining clips. Remove the clips with pliers.

3. Tap the brakes gently. The pads will fall from the caliper. Push the pistons back into their bores.

4. Insert the new pads. Avoid touching the pad faces when possible.

5. Reinstall the retaining pins and clips. Pump the brakes until they are firm.

6. Check the master-cylinder fluid level to make sure the brake fluid is at the proper level.
