Prepare cake mixes as directed on the package and pour evenly into the two greased and floured heart shaped pans. Bake until ready and cool completely over night if possible. Make sure the cake is not warm as the icing and fondant can melt as a result.

Before the cake is placed on the cake board, cover it with the foil wrap. Now that it's been wrapped, place the first cake on the cake board. Using the buttercream icing, ice the top of the heart cake. Place the other heart cake with the top down onto the frosted cake. Ice the whole cake with a crumb coat. A crumb coat is a thin version of the origional icing. Refrigerate for at least one hour. Give the cake a final coat of icing using the original icing and refrigerate for another hour or overnight if possible.

Tips & Warnings
If the heart shape is too hard to cover with the fondant, a round cake pan can be used instead. White fondant can be tinted brown and used instead of chocolate fondant. When covering the cake with the fondant, place the cake onto a big coffee can, it's a lot easier to handle that way. Making a pattern on cardstock of the bow tie, lapel and shirt will make it a lot easier when preparing the cake.
